How we help employers to adopt Sustainable Travel Leave, and support employees to access flight-free travel.
Possible is a grant-funded charity founded in 2009. For over five years we have advocated for Sustainable Travel Leave as a high-impact, ultra low-cost workplace policy, and we have provided free support to hundreds of employers interested in adopting Sustainable Travel Leave at their organisation. We also make it easier for people to plan and book flight-free travel.
Our (free) service and support is outlined below.

And request forms - making admin quick and simple.
✓ Support for HR/admin teams
Ongoing and comprehensive. We’ll help you to set up Sustainable Travel Leave on your HR system and support your HR / admin teams for as long as your policy is in place.
✓ Launch press release and comms materials
We’ll help you to celebrate your new accreditation publicly.
✓ Employee launch session
Ensuring everyone is aware of the good news and knows how to access the extra benefits.

Once your policy is in place, all colleagues (and volunteers if applicable) will be able to access:
✓ One-to-one support for planning flight-free holidays
We can help with individual queries or plan a whole flight-free itinerary.
✓ Exclusive discounts
On things like UK Railcards and train tickets, free repairs on electronics and household appliances, eco-friendly gifts, holidays, e-bike hire, new bikes and bike services, carbon literacy training, and many other products/services.
✓ A monthly newsletter
Packed full of low-carbon travel tips and inspirations, giveaways and freebies, and much more.
✓ Invitations to private events.
Usually quarterly, a great chance to meet like-minded peers from other organisations.
✓ Access to the STL Portal
Plan your flight-free trips and access tonnes of helpful guidance and resources (e.g. tips for travelling with children or how to keep costs down).

We’re on hand to help with any queries administering the policy.
✓ Accreditation
Access to the official Sustainable Travel Employer accreditation.
✓ An annual impact report
Reporting on your estimated carbon savings from using the scheme.
✓ Access to press and media opportunities
We regularly get press requests and are happy to namedrop accredited employers! We can also provide press releases and help with getting coverage.
✓ Organisational discounts
On things like team-building workshops, carbon literacy training, and workplace sustainability solutions.
Costs
The full service is offered completely free of charge.
We are a grant-funded charity and Sustainable Travel Leave was designed to break down barriers - enabling and empowering people to choose clean travel, and to discover the world without causing so much harm to it.
We never want cost to be a barrier to accessing clean travel, so you do not have to pay to access our service and ongoing support.
To reduce our reliance upon grant funding, we operate a Pay What You Can Afford model. Any donation your organisation can afford would be incredibly well received.
We are a registered charity and 100% of any donation we receive will help to unlock clean travel for more people and power the clean travel revolution.
Implementation Process
Choose your approach
Leisure and/or business travel. Standalone policy or integrated into an existing policy. We can help you decide which approach would be best for you.
Get your policy signed off
We’ll give you the relevant policy template and can help you to get it signed off. We’re happy to come to any meetings and provide additional info as required.
Launch it together
Once you’ve had the policy signed off, we can help you set it up on your HR system before launching your new policy together - both internally, and externally if desired.
