“By moving through landscapes at a slower pace, you don’t just see the world, you feel your place in it.”

The Problem.

People want to fly less.

67% of Brits want to fly less for environmental reasons. (Statistia)

This is hardly surprising given that, on an individual level, flying is the most polluting thing we do as humans. [LINK TO ‘WHY WE NEED TO FLY LESS’ PAGE]

The vast majority of aeroplane users, however, have not managed to reduce the amount they fly, and demand for flights remains higher than ever before. (CAA)

There’s a hurdle to overcome.

There’s one main barrier preventing employees from being able to explore low-carbon travel alternatives:

Travelling by land or sea often takes longer than air travel, forcing many individuals to use more of their annual leave on the journey if they want to avoid flying.

At Climate Perks, we believe that

You shouldn’t have to sacrifice your precious annual leave to choose clean travel.

The Solution.

Extra annual leave for those who want to fly less.

Climate Perks is the employee benefit that gives employees a small amount of additional annual leave - usually 2 days per year - if they choose low-carbon travel options (train, ferry, coach etc.) instead of flying when they go on holiday.

These ‘sustainable travel days’ are just like volunteer days and can only be claimed by employees using flight-free travel. In 2024 this was 7.5% of all employees covered.

We provide template policy documents, employee procedures and comprehensive support with roll-out. Our 150+ members also get access to tonnes of additional benefits.
